UPCOMING ALTERNATE ACCOUNT MULTIPASS PASSWORD EXPIRATION (EMAIL VALIDATION)

ITS’ systems send a warning email notifying you that your password will be expiring in the near future and that you need to change it before the expiry date.

The below message is valid from May 16, 2022 through July 10, 2022.

SUBJECT: Upcoming MultiPass Password Expiration
TO: USERNAME@MINES.EDU

Dear MINES COMPUTER USER ALTERNATE ACCOUNT,

Your alternate user account password is expiring at DATE/TIMESTAMP.

  1. Log in to your Mines Windows workstation as “ADIT\USERNAME_a”, press “CTRL-ALT-DEL”, and choose “Change Password”

  2. Using ADIT’s password reset system at (type this into your web browser and remove the spaces): “https :// adfs . mines . edu / adfs / portal / updatepassword”, enter your username as “ADIT\USERNAME_a”
  3. If you use Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect to a Mines Windows workstation, you can connect as “ADIT\USERNAME_a” and press “CTRL-ALT-END” and choose “Change Password”.

Alternatively, you can put in a service request at the Mines Help Center at (type into your browser, minus the spaces) “https :// helpcenter . mines . edu”, and search for “Reset Password Issue”.
