ITS: Correct path to campus labs starts with VPN
Yesterday’s “Today” had a popular item up top. The lead story shared news of the “Labby” resource, which offers remote access to Mines computer labs. What wasn’t abundantly clear is that remote access to those labs MUST start with logging in to Mines’ VPN (directions here). Once logged in to VPN, users can then connect to labs and open workstations across campus using Microsoft Remote Desktop. Easy-to-follow instructions for connecting are available on the Mines Help Center. But remember, start by logging in to the Mines VPN first.
