CIO Areas of Oversight
Below are the CIO areas of oversight:
Enterprise Solutions (ES) provides application systems development and best practices for enterprise and unit-specific application software in support of administrative functions and academic functions. The Student Information Systems (SIS) also known as the Banner Team – Student supports mission-critical academic and administrative processes such as admissions, financial aid, registration, enrollment, course management, advising, billing and payment, records, and more.
The OCIO provides global oversight of campus IT environments plus develops and disseminates technology standards, practices, and architecture through the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) division, providing IT services, systems, and support to a diverse group of campus and Mines system stakeholders.
The OIS which is part of the OCIO provides policy and security oversight for institutional information and campus IT resources through the Information Security and Policy department, providing a structured approach to information risk management for the campus.
The ITS Service Strategy team encompasses End-User Support, the Mines Service Center and IT Service Management. The End-User Support team (formerly User Experience and Support Services – UXSS) provides services to help you buy, repair, or replace computing equipment, as well as give you support for commonly used business applications. The Mines Service Center and IT Service Management teams combine to provide both in-person and online support through our helpdesk.
The Academic Technology group provides a strategic focus and expansion of our online programs. This team provides support of Canvas as well as audio-visual and classroom support, support of department computer labs, laboratory integration services, instructional and learning technology services, and accessibility support services, as well as support for our Continuing and Professional Education Services team.
Cyberinfrastructure and Advanced Research Computing
The OCIO provides policy and security oversight for institutional information and campus IT resources through the Information Security and Policy department, providing a structured approach to information risk management for the campus.
Projects and Change Management Office
Previously Campus Shared Services IT (CSS IT), IT Client Services can help you buy, repair, or replace computing equipment, as well as give you support for commonly used business applications.
