Applications Services
Applications Services (formerly Enterprise Solutions) provides application systems development and best practices for enterprise and unit-specific application software in support of administrative functions and academic functions. The Student Information Systems (SIS) also known as the Banner Team – Student supports mission-critical academic and administrative processes such as admissions, financial aid, registration, enrollment, course management, advising, billing and payment, records, and more.
Infrastructure Services
The OCIO provides global oversight of campus IT environments plus develops and disseminates technology standards, practices, and architecture through the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) division, providing IT services, systems, and support to a diverse group of campus and Mines system stakeholders.
Information Security
The OIS which is part of the OCIO provides policy and security oversight for institutional information and campus IT resources through the Information Security and Policy department, providing a structured approach to information risk management for the campus.
Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics
Offering a wide variety of supportive services for academic and administrative departments, Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics collects, preserves, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates data, providing high quality, timely information to internal constituents, the federal government, the Colorado Department on Higher Education, and others.
Service Delivery
The ITS Service Delivery team encompasses User Experience and Support Services, the Mines Service Center, IT Service Management, and Educational Technology and Accessibility (see below). The User Experience and Support Services (UXSS) team provides services to help you buy, repair, or replace computing equipment, as well as giving you support for commonly used business applications. They also provide audio-visual and classroom support. The Mines Service Center and IT Service Management teams combine to provide both in-person and online support through our helpdesk.
Educational Technology and Accessibility
The Educational Technology and Accessibility group is focused on improving outcomes and the user experiences for Mines students, faculty, and staff by supporting the adoption and use of accessible technologies, services and solutions to enhance teaching and learning across campus.
Cyberinfrastructure and Advanced Research Computing
The OCIO provides policy and security oversight for institutional information and campus IT resources through the Information Security and Policy department, providing a structured approach to information risk management for the campus.
