As you all know the President’s cabinet has just put out a message encouraging supervisors to work with staff that can work from home to do so. I wanted to assure everyone that ITS is here and open for business to help you and your teams stay connected and productive. We have put up a website that will provide all the resources and direct you to where to get help for all your remote work needs. The Mines Help Center (AKA ITS Helpdesk) (https://helpcenter.mines.edu/TDClient/1946/Portal/Home/) continues to be staffed during normal business hours and you can continue to call ext. 2345 to reach a live person during normal business hours. If you happen to call after business hours, you can leave a voicemail and the system will automatically convert your voicemail to a Team Dynamix Service Ticket. This webpage is being updated in real-time, but this is your one stop shop for help and information with remote work tools: https://it.mines.edu/it-services-continuity/remote-resources

More Information can be found here: https://it.mines.edu/telecom-faq/

Web Meetings and Collaboration
Zoom Basic is available to all staff for both web conferencing and video conferencing as well as chat. We also have unlimited access to MS Team for Web Conferencing, Video Conferencing, Chat, File sharing Collaboration, and more. See more help on using MS Teams together with the rest of the Office365 tools here: https://it.mines.edu/software-title/office-365/

Privacy and Security
Although we are in a period of emergency, the privacy and security of the Mines Data and Network remains a top priority and we encourage everyone to continue to follow those standards. We are asking that you not save any Mines work files on your personal devices. If you are using a personal device, please consider using the Microsoft OneDrive service available to all members of the campus community.

The entire ITS staff is here and available to support you. Given the volume of calls and requests, some of our Service Level Agreements will slip and we are just asking for your patience as we work through all the requests. But know that our priority is to serve you all – our valued customers.

Best regards.

Monique
