Subject: Office 365 Account Changes

Good Afternoon,

You are receiving this message because you have signed up for Microsoft’s free Office 365 for Education program using your Mines MyMail account. Because the school is planning to make Office 365 available campus-wide, we will be making some changes to your account.

First, starting next week, you will need to use your @mines.edu address when logging into Office 365. This should not affect any of your OneDrive files, settings, or applications. If you have signed up with both your @mines.edu and your @mymail.mines.edu addresses, you will need to log into the MyMail-based account and manually download any files you wish to keep and upload them to the @mines.edu account.

Second, we will soon be integrating 365 with our on-campus directory.  This simply means that you will sign into 365 with username@mines.edu and your Mines password, rather than maintaining separate credentials for Office 365.  You should see additional notices before this change is made.

If you have any questions or concerns, or need assistance moving your data between accounts, please let me know.

Thanks,

Silas Korb
