This Saturday, June 19th, from 6 am to 9 am, ITS will be performing maintenance on various parts of our network. There will be **multiple** service disruptions during this time.
We will be performing:
- Upgrades to the wireless network.
- Upgrades to several data center and campus building switches.
NOTE: This will result in outages of both voice and data services in individual buildings for approximately 30 minutes during this 3-hour window. - Upgrades to the campus VPN system.
NOTE: This will disrupt connectivity to both ras.mines.edu and vpn.mines.edu, used for remote access.
Additionally, we will be completing tests for network redundancy which may result in periods of time without access to the Internet or and campus servers in the data center.
NOTE: There were issues which extended the outage for VPN, but everything was resolved by 2:15 pm.
